Pastor Greg sends the following information from Haiti:
Tonight’s meeting was cancelled. The church we are in has no electricity so they rely on a generator for night meetings. There is a major fuel shortage and they are rationing gas (that is if you are fortunate enough to get some). We got about five gallons yesterday for the truck and the generator. It was mass pandemonium at the fuel station – I wish I had a video camera. The police finally came and settled things down.
Today’s meetings were good. I ministered for 4 hours on kingdom foundations and identifying your passion. Many of the pastors are intrigued and interested in the message of the kingdom. The people here have been fed a lot of religion and legalism. They have a desire to serve God but are unaware of their identity in Christ.
We have scheduled a 3 hour session for pastors in the morning and a revival service tomorrow night (if we can get some gas for the generator). Sunday we head for the mountains to minister in a rural congregation there (if we can get some gas for the truck).
Church! This is urgent. We can’t allow a gas shortage to stop the ministry in Haiti! We must commit ourselves to agreeing with Pastor Greg for the provision necessary to finish the work that has been started. Also, pray for calm and order around Pastor Greg. Just because the country is hectic doesn’t mean that God can’t create a pocket of peace and stability around his anointed.
