Preparing People for Purposeful Living

Posted by Jonathan Greene 2 COMMENTS

FamilyToday we are focusing our prayers on the following topics:

  • For marriages to be strengthened.

“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.  Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.  For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.  Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.  Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.  In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies.  He who loves his wife loves himself.  After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church – for we are members of his body.  For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”  Ephesians 5:21-31 (NIV)

  • For homes to become houses of prayer and places of refuge

“Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness.  Throw away the gods of  your forefathers worshipped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.  But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourself this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.  But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”  Joshua 24:14-15 (NIV)

  • For men to become true fathers and leaders of their home.
  • For children to be raised in righteousness.

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.  Honor your father and mother – which is the first commandment with a promise – that is may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.  Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”  Ephesians 6:1-4 (NIV)

The following event will be occurring:

  • Ladies meeting starting at 7:00 p.m. at Grace Community Fellowship.

Please leave any comments of praise reports and prayers in agreement with today’s focus.

About Us

Grace Community Fellowship is a ministry that is built upon grace, as evidenced in the favor and ability of God working through the lives of people. We are a community of Spirit-empowered believers in the Lord Jesus Christ working together through a diversity of gifts to fulfill the mandate of Christ to make disciples of all men. Our mission is to empower people to fulfill their God-given potential through knowledge of the Word of God and the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. This is accomplished through the essential ministry components of corporate worship, the communication of biblical truth, and prayer.
