Preparing People for Purposeful Living

Ladder of SuccessYou’ve been trying to get a promotion for months.  You’ve been putting in the extra hours, kissing up to the boss, and wearing your Sunday finest each and every day.  You’ve been showing up early and working late, and to top it all off, you just watched the boss promote some college buddy over you who never does anything.  Listen, I feel your pain.

If you continue to work hard and do what you’re supposed to do, you might get promoted eventually.   That’s kind of weak.  I know of a huge guaranteed promotion that you can get right now which will give you access to a whole lot more than the crummy fifteen cents an hour that your boss was going to offer you.  How about going from being a street urchin to being a King’s kid?

“and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ,  if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.” (Romans 8:17)

This verse is talking, of course, about the Children of God.  If we are “saved,” meaning that we’ve accepted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins, and that we’ve made Him the Lord of our life, we’re “born again” into the Kingdom of God.  This verse tells us that if we’re His children, then we’re heirs to the throne just like Christ.  That means that you’re entitled to all of the provision of heaven as a birthright, having become an adopted child of God.

That’s some tough theology.  Let’s make it as simple as possible.  You need to start by clicking here.  Do what the post says, and leave me a comment and I’ll walk you through the rest by phone or email.  It’s go time.  What do you want to be about when you show up at the pearly gates?
