Preparing People for Purposeful Living

Posted by Jonathan Greene ADD COMMENTS

ArmyYesterday we talked about how God is raising up his church and organizing us into an Army for the purpose of achieving his strategic objectives on the Earth. We discussed how God will Recruit the world class soldiers needed to advance His Kingdom, and how these recruits would be organized into cohesive units charged with specific missions related to their ministry functions. Today, I’d like to expound upon the vision that I have been given for training the Army, and for some of the “special units” that I have seen.

Training:

You’ve heard the saying, “those who can’t do teach.” This may be true of many college professors, military instructors, and corporate trainers. It most certainly will not, however, be true of God’s instructors dedicated to the preparation of His army. Those who receive this calling will be the most proficient in recorded history.

Those called to instruct teachers will have a supernatural anointing for teaching themselves, and will come from some of the largest, most successful ministries in the world built upon their gift for teaching. They may never feel “complete,” however, until they find themselves instructing God’s recruits in the training phase. Though they may have ministered teaching to many thousands of people at one time before, they will never know the peace of the Lord like they do when they find themselves in front of a small classroom full of similarly anointed teachers preparing them for war. In this way, they will know that they are properly appointed as God’s military training instructors. Likewise, those called to instruct prophets in their spiritual development will have extremely effective prophetic ministries. The Lord is developing this spirit of knowledge and excellence right now throughout the body of Christ, while simultaneously imparting the vision of the work to be done in the future. Many will experience powerful moves of God in their personal ministries only to be left hungering for “more.”

God will begin to develop the teaching grace within the lives of those called to be instructors in his Army. Prophets will suddenly find that they have a supernatural ability to outline thoughts and develop content and curriculum that they never had before. Ministers of healing will find that they have an increased passion for presenting the Word of God as related to their ministry and a supernatural ability to communicate the “how” of their ministry to others. These are all subtle signs of God’s preparation for the position of instructor.

In this way, the Lord will allow those anointed with one of his five-fold ministry graces to reproduce their gift in others. Because of their experience ministering from the depth of the Holy Spirit in their lives, these instructors will be able to relate their giftings in an extremely practical manner. For this reason, God will begin to form “schools” of ministry throughout the world that are organized according to function. In the practical sense, these “schools” will be combat training facilities designed to turn out a specific type of soldier.

This is similar in many ways to the manner in which the US Military trains and equips personnel for battle. After a short time in “basic training” (within the local church) where troops learn the fundamentals of discipline and military tradecraft, they will find themselves drawn towards these training centers where they will be more fully equipped to operate in their specific ministry grace, much the same way as Military Police are sent off to a school specifically designed to train them in the finer points of military law, patrol techniques, etc.

The Lord has already established the first of these ground breaking training centers, and has already begun training the first recruits. There will be major regional schools for each of the five fold ministry graces located throughout the world. The Lord has already placed this vision with the hearts of key leaders, and has asked that I express this vision as a confirmation to them that the time is drawing near when the training centers will need to be fully established and operational.

In addition to the function-specific training that soldiers receive in their ministry schools, there will exist a common core curriculum of leadership and servant hood. Despite the great distances between the training centers and the huge cultural gaps, the graduating students will find themselves able to seamlessly integrate into squads with other soldiers from across the world to form function-specific ministry teams. This amazing unity of purpose and vision will be one of the greatest testaments to the power of the Holy Spirit in recorded history, and the world at large will marvel at the cohesiveness of the Army of the Lord.

Out of the entire Army, the Lord will choose the most proficient soldiers to become instructors. These instructors, filled with the spirit of excellence, will be able to readily identify recruits who possess the extremely rare qualities necessary to transcend the ranks of the “conventional” forces of God’s army and move into the “special units.”

Special Units:

The Lord has shown me a vision of highly specialized, expertly trained spiritual forces being raised up throughout the world. These specialized units will be charged with the most difficult missions, and will therefore require a special portion of the Lord’s anointing. Although fierce and without fear, these men and women of God will remain nameless and faceless until the day of judgment. They will perform miracles, signs, and wonders such as the world has never seen, and then melt into the background, exfiltrating quietly from the scene of battle and moving on the next objective that the Lord assigns them.

These special units will receive their missions directly from God. They may not be subjected to the hierarchy of the Army in the same way that a conventional soldier would. This is necessary because of the special nature of their warfare. For this reason, the rise of these “special” operators will be fiercely contested by those possessing the control spirit within the body. I believe that the Lord would have me to issue this warning: Do not attempt to prevent these anointed ones from fulfilling their mission. Many will lose their leadership mantle for failing to head this word.

Instructors will know these special operations personnel because of their warrior nature. There is a profound difference between a soldier and a warrior. Soldiers participate in battle because it is their lot in life. Warriors run to the sound of battle, trumpets sounding and weapons at the ready. Soldiers function in battle. Warriors thrive in battle. These will be easily recognized in training.

The Lord has shown me an additional “special” unit in a vision. In this vision, I was shown a group of young people, some mere children, tasked with the duties of a “sapper.” Sappers are traditionally used to break through walls, destroy strongholds, and clear the path for conventional forces. These “sapper” units seemed to be comprised of powerful intercessors and worship ministers. Through intercession and worship, these special units will attack the strongholds developed by the enemy, softening and often destroying their defenses with a power never before seen on Earth. The conventional forces, free of the burden of attempting to defeat the strongholds, will advance unchecked through enemy territory.

Ok. That’s all I’ve got for right now. Please pray with me that God will continue to develop this vision and clarify some other things that I’ve seen in relation to this word. As the vision solidifies, I’ll continue to update these posts. Come back often, and if the Lord is showing you something in relation to this vision please share it in the comments. Be blessed!
